Post Doctoral Research Associate - Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Tennessee. The successful applicant will carry out interdisciplinary materials research that touches on a wide range of topics such as correlated electron systems, topological states, spintronics, multiferroics, and ultrafast dynamics. The focus of his/her research will be on atomically engineered quantum condensed matter systems, with emphasis on complex oxide heterostructures. The successful applicant will synthesize artificial layered materials with pulsed laser deposition and characterize these heterostructures with a suite of analytical tools including resonant x-ray scattering/spectroscopy, magnetometry, magneto-transport, photoemission, scanning tunneling
