We have an opening for a Materials Scientist specializing in the use of FIB-SEM systems to prepare actinide samples for transmission electron microscopy (TEM), diamond anvil cell (DAC), and other small-scale experiments. The scope of work may include metallographic sample preparation and precision foil/lamella fabrication. In support of programmatic activities, you will also be expected to lead equipment installations, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs. This position is in the Plutonium Science and Technology Group within the Materials Science Division. This position will be filled at the SES.2 or SES.3 level depending on your qualifications.
