Position Summary:  The Department of Physics at Gettysburg College invites applications for one or two one-year positions as Visiting Assistant Professor in physics beginning August 2022. Our preference is for individuals who have engaged in research-supported pedagogy centered around student learning and who foster active learning environments. The teaching load for this position will be three courses each semester, where either a lecture or laboratory section is considered to be one course.  Ability to teach introductory astronomy is preferred but not required.  Opportunities exist to teach at the introductory and upper levels as well as to participate with students in the X-SIG Summer Research Program.
