We have an opening for a Staff Scientist to conduct a full range of general to moderately complex research in the advanced engineering and manufacturing of materials for uses in harsh service conditions and extreme environments. You will actively participate with and be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for conducting and supporting research in design, synthesis, characterization, processing and/or integration of ceramics, metals and composite materials. This position is in the High Performance Materials group in the Materials Science Division. This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired
