The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Swarthmore College invites applications for one or more full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor positions in any field of physics, beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. The teaching load over two semesters is 3 courses and 1-2 lab sections (6-9 weekly contact hours per semester). We seek candidates with a strong interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduates at a highly selective liberal arts college. Involving Swarthmore’s highly accomplished undergraduates in summer research is encouraged, though not required; visiting faculty have access to funds to support summer undergraduate stipends and research supplies.
