About the School of Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School has a broad research program with strengths in astrophysics, condensed matter, atomic, molecular and optical physics, physics of living systems, nonlinear science and soft matter physics. Job Summary
The School of Physics (https://physics.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in accelerator or non-accelerator-based experimental or theoretical Neutrino Physics. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. The successful applicant will join a vibrant physics community at Georgia Tech, which includes experimental activity on Neutrino Astrophysics in IceCube, Trinity and P-ONE. Applicants are expected to have received a Doctorate in Physics or a related discipline and are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
Responsibilities
Tenure-track academic faculty members teach at all levels and maintain research portfolios that are supported by grants and contracts with federal and state agencies, private foundations, and/or industry. They also contribute to the governance and operation of the School of Physics and of the Institute as a whole. Additionally, they communicate scientific advances through publication and outreach to the scientific community and public at large.
Required Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have received a Doctorate in Physics or a related discipline.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
Candidates must demonstrate a scientific record advancing the field of Neutrino Physics either experimentally or theoretically.
Successful candidates must demonstrate long term commitment to teaching, scholarship and service to the community.
