Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Soft Condensed Matter
Applications are urgently invited for a postdoctoral research position in the area of photomechanical materials. The position is part of a Multi-University Research Initiative (MURI) involving U Colorado Boulder, Caltech, Kent State, Stanford, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara.  The Kent State effort focuses on the characterization and modeling of the photomechanical response of a variety of samples ranging from liquid crystal elastomers to gels and solid crystals.  We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in physics, broad interests and a wide range of skills.
