Weak interaction tests with atom traps: Postdoctoral Research Associates
Neutral atom traps for radioactives at TRIUMF have two openings for postdoctoral research associates. The trap for beta decay tests time-reversal symmetry and maximal lepton chirality-- approved proposals and plans are at trinat.triumf.ca/news. For more info, please contact John Behr, behr@triumf.ca . The francium trapping project pursues spectroscopy of the highly forbidden 7s-8s transition, and with the recent observation fo the M1 amplitude is now moving towards an atomic parity violation measurement, looking to test particle physics knowledge of the weak neutral current. More info is available from Gerald Gwinner, gwinner@physics.umanitoba.ca . For more info and to apply: https://triumf.wd10.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/careers-at-triumf-job-postings/details/P
