Cell Biologist
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Significant experience with human and rat cell cultures, with an emphasis on cardiac and neuronal cells or tissue models.
  • Significant experience with electrophysiology, immunostaining, flow cytometry, and multi-omics (emphasis on single-cell RNA sequencing).
  • Significant experience in elucidating mechanisms of cellular or tissue disfunction
  • Proficiency in R for data analyses.
  • Advanced understanding of statistics for longitudinal datasets.
  • Practical experience with multi-omics sample preparation and analyses.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and able to work both independently and as a team with a diverse set of scientists, engineers, and other technical and administrative staff.
  • Proficient with common software (e.g., Microsoft Office applications) and able to quickly learn new software.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with animal models for toxicological assessment
  • Experience with histology and immunohistochemistry
