This program gives research opportunities to undergraduate students with priority to first generation college students, students from underrepresented minority groups, and students from tribal colleges and other primarily undergraduate institutions. Participants work alongside UND faculty and students on interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of chemistry, chemical engineering, atmospheric sciences, and related fields.
UND is currently in the Carnegie category of Doctoral Universities: Higher Research Activity (or R2) with exceptional research growth over the past twenty years. The university aims to “enhance discovery at a level consistent with most research-intensive universities, and as part of this strategic effort, support for undergraduate student research on campus is strong.
