High Pressure Physics, Imaging Applications- Postdoctoral Researcher
We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Materials Physics at Extremes Group in the Physics Division to conduct research in imaging applications for dynamic compression science. Areas of active research include a broad swath of materials and understanding their equations of state; phase stability and transformation kinetics; and thermomechanical material properties and responses at extreme conditions. We conduct research that ranges from in-house benchtop experiments to the use of world-leading dynamic compression facilities such as the High Explosives Applications Facility (HEAF), the Nevada Test site, Z machine, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), and the Dynamic Compression Sector (DCS) at the Advanced Phot
