Position Description
The School of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. The appointment will be at a level (assistant, associate, or full professor) commensurate with experience.

Condensed matter physics is a major research area at the University of Minnesota that involves 18 faculty members. The department plans to further strengthen this area through several additional hires in both condensed matter experiment and theory over the next few years. The successful candidate can expect to benefit from a vibrant culture of interdisciplinary collaborations within the College of Science and Engineering, as well as from state-of the-art laboratory space, materials characterization and nanofabrication facilities.

4. A Teaching Statement (1-2 pages) describing your approach to and/or experience with classroom teaching and with research mentoring.
5. A Diversity/Community Statement (1-2 pages) describing your contributions to the academic community.  Consider the diverse responsibilities of faculty which include teaching, mentoring, advancing research, disseminating knowledge, and sustaining healthy, inclusive communities.

Qualifications
