Opportunity: The Department of Physics at Kent State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in experimental high-energy nuclear physics. Although the position is primarily intended for the assistant professor level, candidates for appointments at higher ranks will be considered based upon qualifications. The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to initiate an independent and vigorous externally-funded research effort.  It is envisaged that this research program will complement and enhance Kent State University’s ongoing efforts in experimental nuclear physics in the immediate term, and should include a component oriented to a future facility such as the Electron Ion Collider.

Minimum Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent in physics is a requirement.
