Summer Internship for Undergraduate Students from 2-year and 4-year colleges/universities from the US For 8 weeks.

Students will participate in an REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) program and learn the skills necessary for a successful scientific career.

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students in 2-year or 4-year programs as well as senior high school students who have been admitted to a college/university and start an undergrad degree in fall 2023 are encouraged to apply. 
• Students from Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Physics, Computer Science, All Engineering Majors, and other related areas are eligible to apply.
• Participants learn Machine Learning, Data Science, and Modeling, and their applications to environmental and climate-induced problems. 
• The program does not require prerequisite courses.
• Special seminars will be held to increase students' public speaking and presentation skills.
• Special workshops will be held to develop, gain, and improve students' analytical thinking, data analysis, and coding skills.
• Students will learn from experience about scientific research and how to apply their academic work to real-world problems. 

Students will receive stipend, meal plan, and free housing.

1. Stipend $600/per week: Total of $4,800 (in 8 weeks)
2. Meal Plan: $100/per week: Total of $800 (in 8 weeks)
3. Travel to Florida Tech: $100
4. On-Campus Housing: Free
