Datascience Postdoctoral Researcher in High Energy Density Plasmas & Inertial Confinement Fusion
What Your Job Will Be Like We are seeking multiple postdoctoral researchers to work within a multi-disciplinary team of computational physicists, data-scientists and experimentalists to perform research in the area of Bayesian data analysis and machine learning applied to inertial confinement fusion, high energy density plasmas, pulsed power applications, along with broader topics in plasma physics and astrophysics. Key functions of this role include, but are not limited to: Develop and train surrogate models based on post-processed simulation data sets using a range of machine learning algorithms Perform comparison of surrogate models based on a variety of metrics, including speed and accuracy Develop AI tools for the processing of a wide
