Heavy-Ion Physics Experimental
The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Heavy-Ion Physics at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics or in a related discipline. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishments in experimental high-energy nuclear physics and will be expected to develop an independent and vigorous research program. Well-qualified candidates at a higher rank will also be considered. Of high priority is a commitment to excellence in teaching. The current faculty in the department participates in the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, the STAR and sPHENIX experiments at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven Nation
