REU: Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate Change: Measurements and Modeling in the Pacific Northwest
The REU program goal is to provide undergraduate students in engineering and related fields an opportunity to participate in on going active research programs. Working closely with faculty and graduate students, the participants will gain hands on experience with atmospheric chemistry measurements and modeling. Our 9.5 week summer program will provide an intensive hands-on summer research experience for undergraduate students at all levels with an interest in atmospheric science and air quality engineering using advanced instrumentation and modeling tools. Faculty and other mentors will provide one-on-one research training, and a series of workshops will be offered to familiarize students with the fundamental concepts of atmospheric chemistry and its most common research tools.
