We are seeking to fill a full-time non-tenured Assistant Teaching Professor position in the Astronomy Department at the University of Washington. The anticipated hire date is September 16, 2022 . The service period is 9 months (September 16 - June 15), with the opportunity to teach in the Summer quarter. The initial appointment will be for 3 years. The individual who fills this position will teach undergraduate, in-person and online classes, including large introductory classes and smaller upper-level courses for majors. Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the implementation of best practices throughout the instructional program and the training of teaching assistants.
