Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Carleton College is seeking applications for 2 or 3 one-year appointments at the Assistant Professor level for the 2022-2023 academic year.  We seek individuals who have recently completed their PhD (or are nearing the completion of their PhD) in physics, astronomy, or related fields with a strong commitment to teach in a liberal-arts environment. Each position will involve teaching 5-6 courses over three 10-week terms, including a combination of courses across our curriculum such as courses in the introductory physics sequence, intermediate lab courses (e.g., Atomic & Nuclear physics and Electricity & Magnetism) and upper-level labs and electives.
