The Physics Department at the University of Dayton invites applications for two full-time lecturer positions. The positions are non-tenure track positions that are renewable annually and begin August 16, 2022. The Department emphasizes strong undergraduate research and supports and/or advises a significant number of PhD and MS students from outside the Department. Students with most majors offered by the University take one or more introductory physics courses. In a typical semester the enrollment in introductory physics courses numbers more than one thousand. The Department features several innovative programs including the Review Leader program and the Summer Research program. The typical teaching load is 12 credit ...hours per semester during the 9-month academic year. Successful candidates who are renewed for six years or more are eligible to be considered for non tenure track promotion in accordance with the University’s recently implemented lecturer promotion policy.
