Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Swarthmore College invites applications for one or more full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor positions in any field of physics, beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. The teaching load over two semesters is 3 courses and 1-2 lab sections (6-9 weekly contact hours per semester). We seek candidates with a strong interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduates at a highly selective liberal arts college. Involving Swarthmore’s highly accomplished undergraduates in summer research is encouraged, though not required; visiting faculty have access to funds to support summer undergraduate stipends and research supplies. Candidates are encouraged to discuss shared research equipment and space with the search committee. Located in the suburbs
