The Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics (APAM) at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist, Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist position in the area of tokamak stability and off-normal event research. There are up to 3 positions under consideration. The successful candidate will advance the research programs of the DIII-D tokamak located at General Atomics and/or the National Spherical Torus Upgrade – Experiment located at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and will also conduct research on international tokamak and/or spherical torus facilities. Additional research may be conducted in support of other domestic facilities. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the men
