Teaching Faculty Position: Director of Introductory Physics
The University of Richmond Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time continuing, teaching-intensive faculty position with the title of Director of Introductory Physics, to begin in the 2022-23 academic year. We seek a successful and dedicated teacher, who will provide students with rigorous and engaging courses that lead them to develop their knowledge of the subject matter and the analytical, technical, and reasoning skills they need for success at higher levels. They will welcome and encourage students of all backgrounds. The Director will teach physics courses, primarily calculus-based introductory physics and courses for non-science students such as Renewable Energy or Astronomy, and lead in the development of new lab experiences for undergraduate students.
