FACULTY POSITION - Theoretical Nuclear Physics
The Florida State University (FSU) Physics Department invites exceptionally qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in theoretical nuclear physics with emphasis on the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). The initial appointment is partially funded by the FRIB Theory Alliance. A successful candidate is expected to make significant contributions to the FRIB science mission. The nuclear theory group at FSU studies nuclear phenomena at all scales, from the structure and dynamics of single hadrons, to atomic nuclei, to neutron stars. The nuclear theory group benefits from a fruitful synergy with the local experimental groups who conduct research at Jefferson Lab, at the local John D. Fox Nuclear Accelerator Facility, and at us
