Chien-Shiung Wu Postdoc Research Fellowships are set up by School of Physics at Nanjing University in memory of Chien-Shiung Wu, a notable alumna of National Central University (later renamed Nanjing University). The Fellowships are intended for outstanding young scientists of great promise who have been awarded within four years, or who are about to be awarded, a doctoral degree in Physics or related disciplines. Applications are invited for the Fellowships in the fields of theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, optics and photonics, acoustics, particle and nuclear physics, biophysics, soft matter physics, atomic and molecular physics, as well as computational physics. Chien-Shiung Wu Postdoc Research Fellowships are granted for a period of two years with negotiable starting dates. The school of physics provides a yearly stipend of 300K RMB (equivalent to US$45,000) with standard postdoc benefits, and a yearly research funding of 100K RMB (equivalent to US$15,000). Two-year initial contracts are renewable. Outstanding performers will be invited to join in faculty.
