Physics: Instrumentation and Measurement, Physics: Materials, Physics: Nanotechnology
Department of Physics is seeking an experimental physicist with proven expertise in using Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) growth techniques to fabricate compound semiconductor based epitaxial thin films (Group II-VI or III-V); and using them in optoelectronic device applications.
The faculty position is available in all ranks; however, applications at the Assistant Professor level will be given priority. The applicant is expected to have postdoctoral experience. Successful candidate will use and develop the existing MBE infrastructure, UHV system, RHEED and Class-100 Clean Room facilities present at the department. The candidate is also expected to conduct high-level research projects and attract new research funds; to teach physics courses both at the graduate and undergraduate level; and to supervise graduate students.
Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) is a state university, focused on research and graduate education. The medium of instruction is in English in all IZTECH programs, therefore the successful candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English.
