STEM program teaching in China
$2500-3500/month after tax plus air fare and free accomodation/housing allowance
Seeking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)-background teachers of native English speaker to teach pre-designed STEM curriculum that integrates STEM subjects with hands-on projects in Beijing public secondary and primary schools.
Starting from September 2017 for one academic year ends at June 2018. Very likely to extend.
Teach the pre-designed STEM course in English to secondary and primary schools in Beijing
Average 10-12 classes per week, 16 classes maximum, 90 minutes for each class
Prepare teaching plans and materials and evaluate students' learning performance
Take part in course related meetings and discussions
Coordinate with school administrators and other teachers.
Assist in student activities inside and outside schools.
Bachelor's degree or higher in at least one of STEM subjects or similar education field.
Native English speaker from north America
Minimum two years of classroom experience as full time teacher or demonstrated experience in Science Fair or Summer/outreach Camps
Experience working with children or teens.
Love of creating solutions and exploring science.
Demonstrated classroom management skills.
Licensed educator with a primary or secondary certification, preferably with endorsements in middle school and at least one STEM topic. Demonstrated STEM teaching or coaching experiences.
Desire to work in and learn in a Chinese culture environment
Ability to improvise in the classroom when needed.
Experience working with teams of students on a STEM competition
Passionately engaging and motivating students
Young graduates with a degree in physics a plus
SALARY AND BENEFITES
The company will assist foreign teachers applying for working visa.
