: The Component & Systems Analysis Department is filling an Electronics Engineer role which offers the opportunity to lead a team conducting studies in electronics aging and supporting device modeling activities\. Key functions of this role include, but are not limited to: + Interfacing with customer and Principal Investigator for select Nuclear Weapons electronics aging studies+ Interfacing with other facilities in the Nuclear Weapons complex+ Proposal, oversight, planning, budget estimation, coordination and execution of electronics aging studies including testing of components+ Developing and executing test plans+ Collecting and analyzing data+ Developing predictive electronics aging and performance model+ Developing new diagnostics and methodologies associated with understanding electronics aging effects, including disassembly, isolation, testing and evaluation of electronics packages+ Extracting model parameters via test Required: + Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant STEM discipline+ Experience with electronics and electrical testing+ Experience with the physics and construction of semiconductor devices+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance Desired: + Demonstrated ability to work on challenging engineering problems in a fast\-paced team environment that requires extensive cross\-organizational and multi\-disciplinary teaming+ Demonstrated ability to team across disciplines+ Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills+ PhD in Electrical Engineering or relevant STEM discipline+ Experience in electronic device/circuit performance modeling using a SPICE equivalent tool+ Experience with component testing and characterization+ Experience in model parameter extraction using IC\-CAP or equivalent software+ Knowledge of electronic component aging effects+ Expertise in Physics\-of\-Failure, Design of Experiments \(DOE\) and/or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis \(FMEA\)+ Knowledge of statistical techniques and models to analyze test data and evaluate component life cycle performance+ Knowledge of electronics failure modes and associated mitigation strategies Department Description: Department 1356 is a multidisciplinary research and development group supporting NNSA Defense and Work for Other \(WFO\) programs\.
