Physics Department is one of the earliest department established in SUSTech. Currently we have 26 research-active faculty members with 6 professors, 11 associate professors and 9 assistant professors, focusing on the field of Condensed Matter physics, Materials physics and Computational physics.
Laboratories including Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Thermoelectric Materials, Functional Complex Oxide Thin Films Laboratory, Low dimensional material synthesis and characterization Laboratory, Nanoscale Optoelectronics Laboratory, Quantum Transport Laboratory, Nanofabrication and Characterization Laboratory, Thin film Physics Laboratory, Mesoscopic Physics Laboratory, Surface Physics Laboratory, Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy and Sample Preparation Laboratory, and High Performance Computation Platform have been established or being established.
