The Department of Physics at Tsinghua University (http://www.phys.tsinghua.edu.cn) invites applicants for tenure-track and tenured professorial positions in condensed matter physics, AMO, quantum information, cosmology and astrophysics, biophysics, particle and nuclear physics, or related areas. We are seeking highly qualified candidates committed to careers in research and teaching. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics or a related field. The Department has taken advantage of the tenure-track system. In general, the tenure-track period is six years, but it may be much shorter for outstanding candidates. The department will offer competitive compensation package for tenure-track faculty members. All of our employees with Chinese nationality are eligible for our standard retirement and medical insurance program. An on-campus apartment will also be provided with low rent during the tenure-track period. In addition, all tenure-track faculty members will obtain start-up funding and be qualified to supervise graduate students.
