: The Advanced Microsystems Radiation Effects Department is seeking R&D Electronics Engineers to conduct leading\-edge national security research in the physics, modeling, hardening, and hardness assurance of advanced microsystems, microelectronics, photonics, optoelectronics, micro\-electrical\-mechanical, and heterogeneously integrated circuits in Silicon CMOS, compound semiconductors and other materials and devices in harsh radiation environments\. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Test the response of various advanced microsystems to harsh radiation environments\. Obtain test samples and develop test boards and test programs for data collection\. Travel to remote test sites for test campaigns several times per year\. Summarize and present findings\.+ Develop device and circuit models and develop tools for use in established design flows to predict and understand the radiation response of complex microsystems\. Run simulations, analyze results, compare to test data, and present results\.+ Partner with radiation effects, materials, process, and device scientists across departments to research and develop effective hardening methodologies and approaches to assuring performance of advanced heterogeneously integrated microsystems in harsh radiation environments\.+ Publish results in journal articles and presenting at conferences\. This position requires the ability to travel frequently and to work safely around radiation producing devices\. Required: + Ph\.D\. Electrical Engineering, Plasma Physics, Materials Science or related fields\.+ Udergradudate degree in STEM\.+ Experience with radiation experimentation and modeling research in semiconductor systems as evidenced by publications, patents, and conference presentations\. Desired: + Knowledge of typical semiconductor electrical characterization equipment\.+ The desire and ability to write papers for publication in refereed journals\.+ Organizational skills as well as the ability to interact well in a team environment\.
